There are 26 letters in the alphabet, but none as important as U.

The weekend. Is. Awesome. So far. Woke up at around noon and lazed and uploaded new items to my other Etsy store, Tuesdays with Mumu. I sell vintage dresses and stuff there. And I completed another drawing which I started last night. Somehow, I prefer how it looks like in pencil(below). Yeah, I know the quote is cheesy but I thought about it while at work yesterday and thought it was hilarious and I just couldn't wait to get started on it. Anyhoo, it's been a productive few hours and now I'm gonna head out and see that Kinetic Rain Installation at Changi Airport Terminal 1. It's really cool, you can check it out here. Can't wait to see it in person.

Comparison is the thief of joy

The previous two drawings were on A4 and took about an hour each to draw and color/outline. This was done on A3 cos I ran out of the other and it took about 2 hours perhaps. I chose this quote as a note to myself. There are days when I compare myself to others which in turn kills my self confidence a little and there are days such as this, when I know there is no one else who can do a better job being me but myself.

The weekend is here. I hope to get off work super early today and head to Art Friend to get me some A4 heavyweight papers.

Have a good weekend!

Be (silently) Brave, Not Sorry.

I just downloaded the blogger app for the iPhone. I admit, I do everything with my iphone. Especially so, cos I don't have a mac at home. Well, I do. The ol' powerbook G4. But I only use it for emergency work.

Anyway, it'll be easier to update from now on. I drew this last night. Its about having the quiet determination to do certain things so you won't regret not doing them.

Laters.

Streething feature

I got featured in local lifestyle blog, Streething for their Art Insight. Much gratitude to Yawen for the story. :D

I will not give up

It's been a rough couple of weeks at work, what with the long hours and constant stare downs with the mac screen. I try to fit in a drawing or two when I can or when I'm inspired to. And sometimes, they're quick processes cos i think about it when I'm on the journey home and get right down to it once I do reach home. Drawing, like walking (yes, I like walking) is very therapeutic for me.
Anyhoo, I drew this in an hour or so. Mainly to make my stand that eventhough, I feel like I might just break at work, I will not give up.

Postcard Stencil Project

Two weeks ago, I headed out to the Central Business District to work on my new stencil project. WISH YOU WERE HERE will be an ongoing piece I'll be working with. Below are shots that were taken by Djohan who was assisting me that day. :)
